Quality, origin and commitment to the land took centre stage in the recent interview broadcast on Hoy por Hoy Navarra, on Cadena SER, where El Navarrico took part to discuss the value of the Reyno Gourmet label and its impact on Navarra’s agri-food sector.
In this conversation, Saray Turrado, Head of Marketing and Communication at El Navarrico, joined Beatriz Preciado, INTIA-Reyno Gourmet technician, and Miguel Aznarez, from Quesos Larra, in a meeting that brought together different perspectives around one shared goal: giving Navarra’s produce the recognition it deserves.
Reyno Gourmet: identity, origin and quality assurance
For El Navarrico, being part of Reyno Gourmet goes far beyond certification. It is a way of reaffirming who we are and where we come from.
“For us, Reyno Gourmet means identity. It is local pride and a guarantee of quality,” Saray Turrado explained during the interview.
This label brings together companies that share the same philosophy: working from the origin, with demanding standards and a clear commitment to excellence.
For El Navarrico, with more than 60 years of experience producing premium vegetable preserves, belonging to Reyno Gourmet reinforces a way of doing things that has always been deeply connected to the land and to respect for the product.
Quality controlled from the very beginning
One of the key points highlighted during the conversation was the high level of standards required to be part of Reyno Gourmet.
Products must meet very specific criteria in terms of colour, size and grading to guarantee their quality. But it goes even further than that. The entire process is audited, both in the field and at the cannery.
From the farmer’s work to the final preparation, every stage is monitored to ensure that the product reaching the consumer meets the standards that define the label.
For El Navarrico, this level of control fits naturally with the way the company has always worked.
Collaboration and gastronomic culture
Beyond the product itself, Reyno Gourmet also promotes initiatives that encourage gastronomic culture and collaboration between producers.
In this context, El Navarrico develops different activities through the Museum of Preserves, a space where tradition, history and gastronomy come together.
These include experiences such as tastings and food pairings with local producers. One recent example was the collaboration with Bodegas Ochoa, where a unique experience was created to pair preserves and wine in a truly special setting.
A proposal that brings together product, territory and experience, and reflects a way of understanding gastronomy through enjoyment, discovery and knowledge.
A story that continues to grow
Above all, El Navarrico is a family story.
A story built on tradition, care for the product and a strong bond with the land. Being part of Reyno Gourmet is a natural extension of that story. A way of continuing to move forward without losing sight of what defines us.
